WATER JET CUTTING
Water jet cutting is a very accurate process that has become part of our branch of sport despite the higher costs.
Water is pushed at an extremely high pressure through a small cutting head (nozzle) with regard to water jet cutting. Due to the material being sprayed, a sharp and basically burr-free cut appears on the material. This process is suitable for practically any material including reflecting and laminated materials. When cutting soft materials, pure water is used to make the cuts while when cutting hard materials, an abrasive additive is added to the water. This increases the processing range and the quality of the cut.
A few advantages of water jet cutting:
? Suitable for nearly all materials;
? Cutting thicknesses of up to 200 mm are possible depending on the material to be cut;
? No deformation due to heat;
? The cut only losses 0.1 to 1.3 mm;
? Sharp (square) and basically burr-free cuts;
? No dust development or distribution of toxic vapours.
