NESTING AND CODING

The components made for the shipbuilding kit must be classified as efficiently as possible in the correct panel (nesting). The better panel nesting is, the more favourable the effect will be with regard to reducing material consumption and labour costs. While nesting was frequently done by hand before, nowadays fully automatic nesting programs are used.
Such programs first sort all components based on panel thickness after which the largest contours are classified first and later on the smaller ones to end up with the most economic panel classification. It is important to take into account the distance between the components themselves. This should be at least 10 mm; we recommend taking 20 to 30 mm for thicker panels.

After nesting, all data and information must be made suitable for the cutting machine that best fits with the order. After determining the cutting route, the software will be ready to be written in the required machine code.
Our professional planning engineers will, of course, guarantee the most favourable classification of your panels and cutting route due to their many years of experience and expertise. Ask about these cost-cutting options!
