Our team was recently reinforced with two students from Rotterdam Business College. They are studying Industrial Product Design, and will spend six months gaining experience with us. As versatile designers in training, they will start their professional careers with innovative ideas for approaching the most diverse projects.
Both students will in coming months put our professional organisation - a recognized training company - to the test and each has been given his own task.
The task of Floris van de Ven is linked to the huge innovation project we are involved in. In the middle of 2010, the new, fully automated milling machine will be operational and be able to perform milling activities 24 hours per day. The components and residual materials will come off the milling line at high speed. Floris is working on the design of a vacuum lift which will make processing the workpieces from this milling machine more ergonomic.
Walter van Gilst is working on designing the new interior for the ‘Aurelia 780’, a retro yacht which was introduced to the market a few years ago by Edwin Pols, Director at Snijtechniek-Brabant. To meet the market demand for an exclusive yacht tender, Walter will provide even more luxury and functionality on board the modern ‘Aurelia 780’.
